What is a registered address service ?

Domiciliation is defined by the law of 31 May 1999 on the domiciliation of companies as a company establishing its registered office with a third party, known as the "domiciliation agent". Only members of certain regulated professions may act as a domiciliation agent — chartered accountants are among those authorised to do so. A company that doesn't need its own premises to carry out its activity may, under certain conditions, choose to domicile with a third party and establish its registered office there.
What types of companies can be incorporated in Luxembourg ?
Domiciliation suits companies which, given their activity, don't need their own premises. That's not the case, for example, for a company with a commercial activity requiring a business permit, which the law requires to have premises suited to that activity.
What is a domiciliation agreement ?
A domiciliation agreement is a contract between the domiciliation agent and the company wishing to establish its registered office with that agent, under which the client company's registered office is set at the agent's address.
